Overview

• High quality digital recording with 4 hours capacity
• Multiple OGM and multiple mailbox digital answering machine for BT, cables lines and analogue extensions of most PABX's
• All messages are time and date stamped. Will also display CLI of caller if available

• OGMs can be set to either allow the caller to leave a message or to just give an announcement

Very flexible as each time can be on any combination of days, so that one switching time could switch on the machine with OGM 2 at 5 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 5pm, and another switching time could switch on the machine with OGM 4 at 6 pm on Tuesdays and Saturdays

• Recording quality adjustment (High quality gives you one hour capacity, average quality gives you 2 hours capacity)
• Can dial your mobile or send you an SMS message (requires CLI and SMS activation on your telephone line) to tell you that it has received a message
• Step forwards and backwards between messages when playing them back. (On many consumer answerphones to listen to a previous message you have to go back to message no. 1 and step through all the other messages again)
• To help you to understand messages quickly and easily, you can step back 3 seconds while a message is playing. You do not have to go back to the beginning of the message as with many consumer anwser phones.
• To reach a mail box, the initial message would say "For John press 1, for Jane press 2 etc." Then the caller would hear John's own personalised OGM
• Use the 4 mailboxes to give information e.g. "press 1 for opening times, press 2 for special offers etc."
• Can receive SMS messages if you have this activated and you subscribe to CLI
• USB connection to PC for configuration of answer machine, to send/receive SMS messages and to transfer voice data in WAV format

Other considerations

• If you have a Panasonic phone system, the 570 is currently incompatible due to the "clear disconnection tone" (a fast beep beep beep tone) function not being able to be changed. What this means is that the 570 does not detect when a caller has hung up so it will keep on recording. However, the Panasonic KXTDA phone system allows you to change the "clear disconnection tone" so the 570 should be compatible
• To play back messages at the same time as receiving them, use the 953IP with the 932 software
• If you want a product that will try extension no. 1, and if there is no answer to try extension no. 2, then you need part 345 rather than this mailbox answering machine
• To ask the caller many questions in the same call, such as name, address and credit card no., use the Retell 953IP
• This answering machine is only suitable for use in the UK and is not available for purchase outside of the UK

The 570 answerphone has been a great product. We were using traditional analogue tape based machines to offer out of hours customer support messages and divert numbers. The new machine has allowed us to give much improved quality to the customer, higher quality recording, archiving of messages where required and full scheduling of outward messages which was essential for us as our support numbers change over weekend and holiday periods.
