Retell's telephony hardware can operate in two modes:

Active Call Recording

Exclusive to Retell, we can operate in semi-active or fully active modes. In these modes we can help the business and provide extra functionality:

  • Announcments to callers as an inherent part of the design
  • Voice firewall to stop your getting frightening telephone bills because your phone system has been hacked
  • Full IVR functionality
  • Messaging on hold, playing any message to any caller through the API
  • Announcements as part of PCI compliance to let callers and agents know that recording has stopped and restarted
  • Answerer for use to record conference calls (for example with Voxsmart mobile phone recording)

So by buying Retell, you are buying into a much more functional system.

Passive Call Recording

As all the other call recording companies we can operate in passive mode, which means that we record, but cannot offer any extra features or functionality.
